The agency that is responsible for the maintaining the health and quality of NYC water ways are the New York Department of Environmental Protection. They are also known to be called DEP. There is about 14 NYC wastewater treatment designs for sanitary flow. Its about 72% of NYC impervious. In 2030 we will spend about 1.5 billion on GI. Each bioswale can hold at least 2,000 gallons of water. One challenge that they mention is about the amount of rain water that can be measured can be hard to regulate. The benefits that this GI give is that they are saving you money for your water. They are using water as a resources not a waste.
